How long will I be in braces?
This will vary from case to case and the orthodontist’s treatment estimate is exactly that – an estimate. The national average is 28 months, but treatment can last anywhere from 9-36 months depending on the severity of the problem and the compliance of the patient. One should not choose an orthodontist based on the number of months they estimate treatment to take.
